It's an album that stays true to the U.S. melodic hard rock sound of the late 80's, early 90's, and recalls to bands such as Tyketto, Trixter, Mariah and Danger Danger!!! Yep, that's true! Jett Blakk brings back the glory 80's with style and full of big hooks, catchy choruses, crunchy guitars and a vocalist with some serious vocal skills!!!
"Rock Revolution", the opener, honors in such a great way the hair metal scene while in "Let Love Win" we have the first gem!!! Up-tempo melodic rock at its best with a killer chorus line to sing-a-long for days!!! Brilliant stuff!!!! At this point, I have to say that the production here is handled by Mitch Malloy and that's an extra push for the final result. "It's True" sounds like it jumped out from Malloy's debut while in "Pretend" the band offers a classic melodic hard rock tune in the vain of Trixter, Danger Danger early works. "Cold" includes a bluesier, smooth rhythm that makes it another highlight here!!
A totally 'blast from the past' record that brings back the glorious 80's sound and it will make every fan of the classic melodic hard rock/hair metal/AOR era very proud!!!
