REVIEW : CREAM PIE -- No Secrets (2017)

Cream Pie is an Italian Hard n' Sleaze band that was founded back in 2005. Their style is moving somewhere between bands such as Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Skid RowL.A. Guns but with a more updated and fresh approach that makes the final result extremely enjoyable.

In 2007, Cream Pie released its first 4-track demo, "Live Crime", and in 2009 the time has come for the full-length record with the title "Dirty Job". After playin' in more than 200 gigs between Italy & U.S.A the band went back to the studio in 2010 to record a new EP "Unsigned 2.0" which was released on June 20th 2013.

In 2014, Cream Pie toured in many countries. including Belgium, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria to name a few, and in 2015 they released “10 Years of Cream Pie 2005 - 2015” featuring a brand new song called “Fall To Rise Again”.

Nowadays, the band is back in business with their brand new "No Secrets" album and its ready to make some noise in this so competitive scene!! "Downtown Pirates" and the party is on fire; a fast-paced and in-your-face rocker that impressed me at once! Sweet stuff!! With "Naked" the band delivers a more modern hard rock tune with some pop-rock elements while in "Givin' Up" we have another late 80's powerful sleaze hard rock anthem full of attitude. "It's Gonna Be Alright" and "Fall To Rise Up Again" are both great samples of pure late 80's stuff that will be appreciated by any fan of this scene.

Bottom line is that Cream Pie with this brand new record comes to prove that this scene is not dead yet and along with bands such as Crashdiet, Crazy Lixx and many others have a lot more to offer. Great album!!!!

Rating : 8/10
